Riverfront Spokane Holiday Lights

Each year, throughout Spokane, the city lights up during the holidays. The City of Spokane has three major holiday light celebrations with many more smaller events happening each year. This scene is of Spokane's Riverfront Park, show casing the lights of the Clock tower, Pavilion and main promenade.

Andy Fuzak is a recreation supervisor with the City of Spokane. He loves skiing a lot. So much so that he teaches skiing at Mount Spokane and helps train other instructors during the season. As soon as the first snow hits, he is trying to slide on it. Even if its just enough to make the grass and rocks a little slippery.

Key Peninsula Metro Park District - Park Maintenance

Justin Kreman main roles are to inspect and maintain all facilities and structures including buildings, kiosks, bathrooms, athletic fields, mountain bike/hiking/equestrian trails, and dog parks at our 8 parks. He's been in park maintenance on the Key Peninsula, WA since the Spring of 2023.

The EIB Committee recently met with Doug Levy and Benita Horn regarding recommendations for WRPA's Strategic Plan. Ensuring the plan is centered in equity, inclusion and belonging will help set a vision and guide WRPA to equitably serve the current and future members of the parks and recreation profession. The committee looks forward to working with the Strategic Plan team to put equity, inclusion and belonging into practice.

Community Outdoor Athletic Facilities (COAF) Program Application Webinar

The Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) is offering a new Community Outdoor Athletic Facilities (COAF) Program. This program will provide funding to build, expand, or renovate outdoor athletic facilities and is focused on helping support meaningful athletic experiences in communities that lack recreational opportunities, have underserved populations, and possess limited financial capacity.
