Roundtable: Virtual Programming

Session Description:

We have put together a stellar panel of Recreation Professionals from literally across the country (Washington, Florida, and Oregon) to share their successes and creative virtual programs and events that have helped them connect to their communities during the pandemic.  There will be plenty of time to have others share their programming wins over the last 6 months and looking into the future as well!  This session is one NOT to miss!!

Biographies:

Laura Ansel is the Marketing & Outreach Coordinator for the City of North Port, Florida. She graduated from the University of Dubuque in 2008 with a Masters in Communication and has more than fifteen years of experience in a variety of industries from manufacturing to public service. A digital native, she is skilled in all aspects of modern strategic marketing, including content, social media, and website management. Laura is inspired by her husband Jeremy and three awesome children. In her free time, she enjoys playing softball, exploring the outdoors, or waiting for her backyard chickens to lay some more eggs.

Aisha Panas is the Director of Park & Recreation Services for Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District in Oregon. Aisha has spent more than 20 years in the fields of long-range planning and Parks and Recreation. She currently oversees the provision of high-quality recreation services for a community of 250,000 people and is the president-elect of the Oregon Recreation and Park Association, where she developed the Association's Leadership Academy.

Alisa Savage is the City of Burien Arts Coordinator managing classes, workshops, and a studio artist program at the Moshier Art Center as well as Citywide arts exhibits.  She has worked for Burien since 2008.  She received her MFA from Washington State University and is a practicing ceramic artist.
