WRPA In-Person Event Policies*September 2022 Update* Health & Safety Policies:Assumption of Risk: The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. The state of medical knowledge continues to evolve, but the virus is believed to spread through airborne particles, person-to-person contact, and contact with contaminated surfaces and objects. People can be infected and show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. To date, there is no known treatment or cure for COVID-19. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life-threatening illnesses and even death. By registering for this event you understand that WRPA cannot prevent me from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while attending this course. I understand that by choosing to attend this course, I may be exposing myself to and/or increasing my risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19. COVID Safety Guidelines:WRPA will be following all current CDC guidelines for large gatherings. All attendees and guests will be subject to all venue rules and regulations in place at the time of the course. By registering for any WRPA in-person training, you are agreeing to abide by all safety protocols set forth by the meeting organizers. If you are found to be in violation of the guidelines and WRPA feels your behavior is putting other attendees at risk, you may be asked to leave. If you are asked to leave, WRPA reserves the right to determine your eligibility for a refund. We appreciate your compliance with this policy to ensure the safety of all WRPA guests at this event. Additionally, you will be asked to attest to your health status on site, prior to participating in the event. If you are not willing to complete this health questionnaire or your responses indicate that you may be at risk of spreading the virus, WRPA reserves the right to determine your eligibility for a refund. Safety policies and procedures are subject to change dependent upon venue and state regulations. Any additional changes will be listed on this page. COVID Contact Tracing:If you test positive for any strain of the COVID-19 virus within 10 days around or of attending a WRPA-hosted event, please call or email the WRPA Office at 206-361-8869 or [email protected]. WRPA will keep attendees informed if a potential exposure has been had at a WRPA-hosted event. We encourage you to download a COVID-19 exposure tracing app to help you gain the fastest information on potential exposures. Below are a few Washington State app options. Vaccination / Masks Updates:In correlation with the recent local and state COVID policies, WRPA will not be requiring registrants to show proof of vaccination or to wear a mask during the conference. Wearing a mask will be optional for all registrants and staff during the WRPA conference. We ask that you please respect each individual's personal choice and safety. |
