Enhancing Safety with Smart Track of Incident Reports

Tuesday, February 4 | 2:15 PM - 3:30 PM

Session Description:

Employee accident reporting was paper based. No way to hold people accountable for timely responses moving the report to the next stage. Often excessive time lapse between when injury/accident occurred and when HR/Risk Management was notified which conflicted with internal policy regarding accident reporting. Learn how Metro Parks Tacoma is creating a safer work environment and more efficient safety reporting for staff and management using ESRI GIS technology. Like many other agencies, MPT struggled to effectively report employee injuries and incidents in a simple and user-friendly way. The add-hoc system was paper based, time-intensive, and redundant, resulting in a process that was burdensome on the organization. This discussion will go over what specific pain points existed and demo the technology that is helping improve the process.
