Our current WRPA President Jennifer Wills and Doug Levy are currently working to update the WRPA Strategic Plan. As part of that they are doing a “Presidential Road Show Tour” and are coming to our area. The meeting will be from 2:00-3:30 PM at the Old Town Center in Tumwater and is open to all WRPA members (which includes all of you since we have an Agency Membership). Below is the description for the meeting. No registration is needed. Simply show up.

The Washington Recreation and Park Association Presidential Road Show is an opportunity to bring our statewide community of recreation and park enthusiasts closer. This road show is a chance to connect, share, and collaborate on the issues that matter most to our members. We will discuss what it means to be a part of this vibrant association, shedding light on the countless benefits and opportunities it offers. We are also committed to hearing your concerns, your ideas, and your visions for the future of recreation and parks in Washington. Moreover, this road show marks the beginning of an essential strategic planning process, and your valuable feedback will be instrumental in shaping the future of our organization. Join us on this exciting journey as we work together to make a positive impact on the recreation and park landscape across our great state.

The WRPA has been a major part of my career, and I can honestly say I would not be sitting in this chair had I not gotten involved in WRPA early in my career. Whether you have been involved in the past or not, this is a great local opportunity to learn more about the association and how it can help provide you with resources for your work or better achieve your career goals.
