This session outlines a model of leadership through service to your staff.  You will be encouraged to be a “trampoline instead of a brick wall.”  The workplace of an effective servant leader is a delightful place indeed!  This session is intended for new and veteran supervisors alike. 

Speaker:
Greg Schmidt, a lifeguard for 41 years and full time Aquatic Manager for over 35 years, is a member of the “old guard(s)” and is delighted to share what he has learned along the way. He received a BS in Physical Education from WSU and CTE Teacher’s Certificate from CWU. He has been an Instructor Trainer in LGT/CPR & WSI since 1984. He was a teacher at North Kitsap High School for 13 years.

A BESTGuard Instructor Trainer, he was the primary developer of the BESTGuard Lifeguard Program now accepted by Washington State DOH for lifeguard certification. He has also presented many times at WRPA trainings.
