This session focuses on ways to safely navigate encounters with unhoused individuals while maintaining parks and public property, as well as while cleaning up encampments. The session focuses on staying safe working in the field, tips for making contact with individuals, and when to call for help. Mitigation and maintenance of encampments, as well as tips for supervisors and leads, are also included. Learning objectives: 1) Develop skills to safely navigate encounters with unhoused individuals.2) Understanding of warning signs and when to call for help. 3) Explore how to mitigate and maintain encampments. |
