
Pickleball for All: Ensuring Equity, Inclusion, and Access for Play

Session Description: Why is pickleball one of the fastest growing sports in America and how can we make room for it in our indoor and outdoor facilities? The Seattle Metro Pickleball Association (SMPA) will share how using data and conversations with local player groups, you bring pickleball to everyone in your community.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn why pickleball is growing so fast through the lense of equity.
- Learn examples of how the SMPA has worked with local agencies to create more equitable opportunties for play.
- Learn ways to collected or use existing data and connect with local player groups to develop play opportunities that are tailored to your community.

About the Speakers: Tom Grubb has been playing pickleball for over 20 years, develops pickleball clinics for the beginning, advanced beginner and advanced pickleball player. He is a certified pickleball level II instructor/coach through the IPTPA (International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association).
