Create Awesomeness!  Planning Parks and Events that Focus on Opportunity and Move Beyond Problem Solving

Wednesday, April 22 | 4:30pm - 4:50pm

Session Description: Someone once said that where attention goes, energy and resources flow. Currently, too much of our professional time and effort is dedicated to creating parks and programs that are designed to fix something that is broken. While this approach is good in some instances, this session is designed to challenge that status quo in a way that inspires individuals to look beyond the immediate problems and begin chasing opportunities, both large and small. Whether it is an individual perspective, an organizational culture, or simply a willingness to set aside fear and take the leap; this speed session is designed to inspire you to reframe your approach to our daily work.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize and reframe your views towards problem solving to identify and capture inspired outcomes.
