WRPA 2019 Annual Conference and TradeshowInclusion: Have a PlanWednesday, April 10 | 10:45am - 12:00pm Session Description: Establishing a sound inclusion process for youth with disabilities can seem difficult if organizations don't have the training or experience. Using the City of Bellevue’s Choices Inclusion Plan as an example, participants will learn how to develop an inclusion plan that complies with ADA Law and is manageable within their department’s resources. This session can be taken on its own or in conjunction with Thursday’s session “Inclusion: Make It Work!”
Speakers: Kin Indurkar, Community Services Supervisor, City of Bellevue About the Speakers: Kim has been working in adaptive recreation for more than 20 years. She is responsible for training the parks department on inclusion and helped write the Choices Plan. She regularly works alongside the city's ADA coordinator. Mary has been working in adaptive recreation for three years as a program coordinator for the City of Bellevue. Mary specializes in program adaptations and behavior modifications. Return to Schedule |
