We will view all major amenities and provide an overview of recent capital improvements.
Speakers: Angela Brosius, Center Director, Firstenburg Community Center About the Speakers: Angela has been in the recreation field for over 25 years. She has been involved as a programmer in fitness, sports, outdoor recreation, ropes course, seniors and special events. One of her most challenging tasks was opening Firstenburg in 2006 with an amazing team. With 13 years of operation there have a few large capital projects, remodels and changes in programming that have impacted rooms. Angela is looking forward to sharing how changes with community needs have impacted how her team utilizes the facility and spaces. She earned her Recreation Management Degree from Eastern Washington University. Andy with Vancouver Park & Recreation for almost 16 years – all at the Marshall Center. During that time, he has been privileged to be part of a complete transformation of the Center and campus including a park renovation in 2004-05, comprehensive renovation of the Marshall Center in 2006-2007 and, most recently, a pool and locker room renovation in 2016. He is eager to discuss how these projects have resulted in a 21st century campus and better positioned the Marshall/Luepke to serve our diverse community while maintaining a robust cost recovery model.
