Date: Wednesday, May 3Speaker: Win big in the business of fitness by learning how to successfully package your fitness offerings into a membership. Fitness memberships bring consistency to your revenues and expenses and also adds value to your offerings for your citizens. This session will transform you from a contract manager to a fitness business professional, helping you grow your own instructors, adding consistency, quality, and safety to your fitness products. This plan will help you increases participation and builds a WOW factor that is sometimes lacking in municipality fitness. Kimberly Shelton works for the City of Federal Way, managing all operations for the 72,000 sf Community Center. The center currently collects $800,000 in membership revenue with a fitness space of only 5,000 sf., serving 6,000 members, 30% of whom regularly attend group fitness classes. Kimberly has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. Her speaking experience ranges from daily fitness classes, staff training, to presenting at the WA State Assoc. of Senior Centers in 2014 and the WA Recreation and Parks Assoc. in Spokane this May. She was honored to speak alongside Senator Patty Murray and other state officials for Veterans Day in 2014 |
