We live in a fast-paced world, each of us bringing different interests and skills, yet, we all have one shared wish: to be happy.  However, we seem to be experiencing more stress than ever before.  The practice of gratitude is so simple that it is often overlooked as an effective, transformative tool with long lasting effects such as promoting happiness and well-being. The Gratitude Graffiti Project can positively impact the communities they are part of. Leave with an understanding for why this simple yet powerful project was created, how a “gratitude stop” works to creatively and positively influence those around us and with clear steps to implement the project in their community.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will learn about the benefits of implementing a personal and community gratitude practice.
  • Participants will gain knowledge about the background of The Gratitude Graffiti Project.
  • Participants will be able to implement The Gratitude Graffiti Project in the community.

Speaker Bio: Lucila McElroy, The Gratitude Graffiti Project

Lucila McElroy is the Co-Founder of The Gratitude Graffiti Project and the Administrative Director at Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver. She is a Coach U graduate life coach with over 15 years experience coaching people to live happy and fulfilling lives.  Her work primarily focuses on the relationship between how we "see" the world and how this "lens" can positively or negatively impact our well-being, our sense of peace, our motivation and our actions. Her goal is to help people develop healthy habits of mind (such as gratitude) in the same way they focus on physical  habits such as exercise.
