Session Description:

Learn how CPTED principles can enhance park safety and reduce the risk of crime.  These principles will help park staff evaluate and apply solutions to various safety and crime issues that occur in parks.

About the Speaker:

Amy Stull 
City of Olympia 

Amy Stull has 20 years of crime prevention experience with the Olympia Police Department. A former board member of the Washington State Crime Prevention Association, she has presented crime prevention and public safety information at both state and local levels. She has used collaborative problem solving and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) to address community safety issues. Now with City of Olympia Parks, Arts and Recreation, she is applying those skills in the Stewardship program and discovering ways to successfully use CPTED strategies in parks.
