Creating Transgender Affirming Services & Organizations

Tuesday, February 4 | 12:45 PM - 2:00 PM

Session Description:

To understand how to make social services more affirming for transgender clients, it is critical to examine such services from a transgender client’s perspective. This activity will help us consider that perspective. We will look at a detailed case example followed by group discussion in order to encourage staff members to recognize and unpack their own personal bias toward Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming people.
