Not At Your Facility

Thursday, April 23 | 1:00pm - 2:15pm

Session Description: Bill’s oldest son, Drennen, drowned on June 6, 2010, in a lifeguarded pool. He was 12 years old, an excellent swimmer and had just started his 7th year of competitive swimming. Since May 2014, Bill has shared his story with over ten thousand aquatics professionals and facility managers nationally and is featured in the American Red Cross training video “Not On Your Watch.” From Owner’s or Boards of Directors through facility management, this presentation is important for all management within an organization.

  1. Recognize the need for in-depth, facility specific, policies and procedures, Emergency Action Plans and frequent, quality in-service trainings based on actual events.
  2. Assess the responsibilities of management as part of the aquatic safety team.
