Parks Tour
Tuesday, May 1 | 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Take a tour of some of the South King County area parks, playgrounds, and gardens. Travel between Renton, Tukwila, SeaTac, and Burien to visit each of the city’s community gems. Presentations will focus on the history of the project, maintenance, current programming, and future plans. Transportation is provided; tours begin and end at the Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center. Lunch will not be provided.

Who should attend: Parks staff, park managers, park directors, and anyone who is interested in learning about parks, playgrounds, and gardens.

Cost: Tours are included in Full Conference registrations, but you must still RSVP

Community Centers Tour
Tuesday, May 1 | 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Take a tour of some of the South King County area community centers. Travel between Federal Way, Tukwila, SeaTac, and Burien to explore the different models of community centers, from full service that includes gymnasiums, fitness centers, pools, and rental facilities to smaller centers that have limited amenities. Presentations will focus on the customer service model of each community center, how it's staffed, how their registration software is being used, what is communicated to the customer as they walk through the door, the biggest issues they face, and what each community center does well. Transportation is provided; tours begin and end at the Hilton Seattle Airport & Conference Center. Lunch will not be provided.

Who should attend: Staff who provide customer service at community centers, supervisors, and manager of community centers.

Cost: Tours are included in Full Conference registrations, but you must still RSVP
