What can park sales tax do for you? Well, a portion of sales tax can be used for many different reasons, such as arts, culture, zoos, and public facilities. WRPA is sponsoring a Local Options Bill that would make parks eligible for sales tax support, upon voter approval.  Come hear from a delegation in Pierce County who has a version of this tax now, and how it supports the maintenance, operations, preservation, improvements, and administration of various park systems.  We will review RCWs that govern use of sales tax, talk about Pierce County’s history and use of sales tax, share information on the Local Options Bill to expand use of this authority to parks statewide, and answer questions.  Please join us to learn how to bring more resources to your agency!
